The Sharpies · The connector
Marco Brita
He connects traditions until a class project becomes something larger.
Marco Brita is Sephardic, and his gift is connection: voice, presence, and a kind of emotional intelligence that turns a class assignment into something larger than an assignment. He is the student who makes the others feel like an ensemble rather than a roster.
He was born in London, the son of a world-renowned conductor and a Moroccan model, and he carries both inheritances at once, British discipline and Mediterranean soul. A permanent student at the Midtown Arts School and Academy (MASA), he is equally at home reading a score and feeling his way through one.
He works naturally in the space between Aviva's reverence and Yuki Tanaka's forward push, the student who keeps the argument from becoming a fight.
